Leading Eco friendly car company placed into Administration
Simon Thomas and Nicholas O’Reilly of leading restructuring and insolvency firm, Moorfields Corporate Recovery LLP, were appointed Administrators of Ecoigo Limited on 27 March 2014.
Established in 2006, Ecoigo is one of London’s leading eco friendly executive car services. The company prides itself on its green credentials, with a fleet of over 90 Toyota Prius and Hybrid Mercedes and its work alongside The World Land Trust in order to offset their carbon emissions.
Insolvency specialists Moorfields Corporate Recovery are continuing to trade the business whilst a buyer is sought.
Simon Thomas, Joint Administrator said “Unfortunately the recession has seen a number of businesses face financial difficulty despite having a strong customer proposition. Ecoigo faced strong competition from convenience style taxi firms but with its strong proposition, provides a good opportunity for potential purchasers.”
