MOORFIELDS ADVISORY APPOINTED ADMINISTRATORS OVER LARGE BIOGAS FACILITY

Restructuring and recovery specialists Andy Pear and Milan Vuceljic of Moorfields Advisory were appointed Joint Administrators of Willand Biogas LLP on 1 May 2024.

Willand Biogas LLP owns a large Biogas facility in Willand, Devon, approximately 30 kilometres from Exeter. The plant has a biogas production capacity of 1,000 m3/h and is suitable for use with nearly all substrates producing Biogas through the Anaerobic Digestion Process. The biomethane produced from the plant is injected directly into the national gas grid. Unfortunately, the operator of the plant ran into difficulties and the LLP was not able to obtain the necessary investment to keep the site operational.

All required equipment is on location with attachment to RHI accreditation. In addition, the site provides opportunity for growth with space for an additional 4-6 additional digestors.”
