MOORFIELDS ADVISORY SECURE SALE OF DIGITAL MARKETING AGENCY RESCUING OVER 20 JOBS

Moorfields Advisory is pleased to have secured the sale of a London Digital Marketing Agency, via a pre-packaged administration saving over 20 jobs.

Established in 2014, the business had grown successfully over the past 10 years into one of the most awarded digital marketing agencies in the UK. The firm boasts an impressive client list of the some of the world’s largest consumer and corporate brands as well as smaller aspirational ones. The firm ran in to difficulty during the pandemic and the shareholders introduced substantial personal funds to enable continued trading, however post pandemic trading did not return as forecast and the business was unable to service its debt burden.

The Board engaged independent Merger and Acquisition (“M&A”) agents to seek investment and/or a sale of the company, and whilst this generated interest, no parties were able to invest in the company in its current form.

The Board approached Moorfields in an advisory role to provide restructuring advice and options, in conjunction with marketing the business for sale. Whilst there was initial interest, the structure of the sale had to be changed to convert this interest into a sale. Moorfields, in conjunction with the M&A agent, refreshed the marketing approach, advising interested parties of the likely shape of the transaction, and a sale of the business was completed via a pre-packaged from Administration shortly after the appointment. The business was sold to an independent established group in a similar industry which will offer cost-saving synergies, an increased market share and cross selling opportunities.
