Moorfields announce sale of Eco friendly taxi Business

A buyer has been found for Ecoigo, an eco friendly taxi business which entered administration on 27 March 2014.

Established in 2006, Ecoigo was one of London’s leading eco friendly executive car services, with a fleet of over 90 Hybrid Toyota Prius’ and Mercedes and its work alongside The World Land Trust in order to offset their carbon emissions

Joint administrators Simon Thomas and Nick O’Reilly from leading restructuring and insolvency firm Moorfields Corporate Recovery have announced that following a comprehensive marketing period the business and assets were sold to West One Cars Limited, a subsidiary of Addison Lee on 11 April 2014.

Simon Thomas, Joint Administrator at Moorfields, said “I am delighted that we were able to rescue a business with such a good ethos as well as save a number of jobs. Addison Lee has a strong brand and the capability to grow the business and its market share.”
