Moorfields appointed Administrators over leisure and office complex in Aberdeen

Leading property insolvency and restructuring specialists Arron Kendall and Simon Thomas of Moorfields were appointed as joint administrators over a c. 200,000 sq ft mixed use property development in the centre of Aberdeen on 15 January 2016.

The property includes a 107 room hotel, casino, cinema and gym, 50,000 sq ft of office space, a multi-storey car park and a number of retail units.  

Arron Kendall said “The development occupies a key location in Aberdeen for those connected with the oil industry as well as for retail and leisure occupiers. The Scottish commercial market has had a positive first quarter with the value of property investments increasing. As oil prices return to more typical levels, the development will represent an excellent opportunity for investors.”
