Moorfields successfully find a buyer for Care Home Portfolio

Healthcare and property insolvency specialists Moorfields Corporate Recovery Ltd have successfully found a purchaser for the Consensa Care Group portfolio to Precious Homes.

The Consensa Care Group was established in 2004 and operated 7 care homes across East London looking after 42 residents. The group focus on the provision of residential specialist care for adults with mental health problems including brain injury and learning disabilities.

Arron Kendall and Simon Thomas were appointed Joint Administrators over the Consensa Care Group (“Consensa”) on 15 May 2015 and traded the business with the assistance of Healthcare Management Solutions whilst they looked for a potential purchaser.

Simon Thomas, Joint Administrator commented:

“We are delighted to have agreed the  sale of the Consensa Care Portfolio, which will maximise returns for creditors and ensure continuity for the residents and employees of the care homes. 

Precious Homes are an established care home operator with a strong track record in delivering excellence to those in need and we are pleased that we have finally achieved an agreement.  Given their existing portfolio and relationship with CQC we are hopeful that they will be able to provide a quality service in the future.”
